I spilt a drink on my digital camera, how can I fix it?

The zoom is all stiff as if it is sticky and the lense cover no longer opens or closes properly. The pictures also come out looking very orangey yellow. It is a good camera, a samsung 8mp. Any ideas of how this may be fixed.

Switch it off - take out all the batteries and leave it to dry for 2 days!

Water will only do damage if it has electricity running through it and therefor causes corrosion on the circuits and chips.

It sounds as if you have attempted to use it though - so the damage may already be done :(
