Does anyone know how to fix a digital camera? |
I just bought a Samsung S730 digital camera, and it was dropped on the floor while it was on. The problem is, the lens won't go back into the camera. It's just sticking out as if it was on. Since that is the case, everytime I turn it on, the screen lights up, but after two seconds, it makes this loud beeping noise, and turns off. Note: Where it says guarantee, I meant to say warranty. Haha, this camera's got me stressing! The biggest damage to any camera is when you drop it. I drop Panasonic TZ1 in Hong Kong. It was making noise. The lens would retract but it would not focus properly. I had to throw it away because the cot of repair exceeds the price of the camera. The cost of repair is $75 min per hour without parts. Parts may not be available too. In your case the price of the camera is approx $100 depending where you bought it. So, you need a new camera. The camera has delicate mechanisms which are damaged and that is why the lens is not retracting and the lights goes off. how long do you have it, all cameras come with some sort of warantee. no way around it |
