Can you buy a pay as you go phone but use your contract sim?

i have an LG viewty [its rubbish] i have it on contract, but i want to buy a new PAYG orange phone, but im not sure, if i can get it unlocked and use my sim card with it??

does anyone know if its possible?

and also are these phones any good?

im not bothered if you say the cameras are rubbish, because i dont use my phone for taking pictures i just use it to call and text, and i dont need it for the music either, as i have a 30gb iPod

yes it is possible to use ure contract sim.
just remove it from the back of the phone and put it in your new phone.
the samsung is good, i think except its old now.. wot about the newer version of them fones??
also i heard that the u9 is rubbish
wot bout a samsung ted baker from carphone warehouse, its onlyy 拢49.99, and it is really nice and girly.
it comes in three different colours, brown, blue and pink.
the brown one is reall nice. i might be getting it aswell.

You usually have to get them unlocked, or buy a simless phone bit more expensive, but u can put any network any price plan pay as you go in! Check instore when you go to buy the phone they will tell ya

Yes as long as long as the phone is either sim free or the same network as your sim card. I did it because i hated the phone I had on my contract.

you will need to get it unlocked. plenty of places on the high street offer to do this

I also had a Viewty and thought it was poo!
I'm not keen on Samsung phones myself, I didn't like the navigation on them.

Also, motorola are not so good either as they had a tendency of being quite weak and break easily.

I now have a HTC phone, The Needle, and it is VERY girly, plus has Ted Bakers name on. It's PACKED with features, including WiFi, Bluetooth, GPRS mobile internet just in case you don't have access to a wireless router, Microsoft Mobile Office with Word, Excel and something else on it, a calendar, Email, MSN Mobile Messenger, Yahoo Messenger can be accessed on there too....you name it, it has it plus all the normal phone functions.

I'm not sure about getting it on pay as you go though...se if you can look into it, or get it on your upgrade. I'm not sure if it's available on Orange either, you may need to move contract. Mine is on o2 and I found it to be a better deal than Orange as when I switched from Orange o2 gave me more minutes for less money every month.
