Girls?...Who is sick of companies using sexy models to promote their products?

So the other day I was browsing the wide web and a random pop up shows up of a woman in her "under garments" smiling at the camera. So I think... OK this must be a commercial for like Lazensa Girl or something. Then randomly a Samsung cell phone pops up right in front of her boobs. Not only was it completely irrelevent to what they were selling but it was also sickeningly demeaning to the female gender. They are secretley using us as sex tools to sell products to males and it's just so wrong and also they are making us girls beleive (by obviously playing with our minds) that if we buy this product we are going to have a hot bod. We girls no better than that and yet we still fall for it. Personaly, I find those Dove commercials and Nestea mix commercials alot more attractive to me. Why? Because they are set on the right path of all diffshowing us that you dont have to be skinny to be pretty and feel confident using their product

Media makes us girls think we have to be as skinny and hot as those models to be accepted in society. I have to confess, I'm one of those girls who tries as hard as I can to get that skinny. I always tell myself, "5 more pounds and that's it"..

well it makes sense business wise. people are more likely to buy from someone who has a good image. soprry but thats a fact. Companies want to make money at the end of the day.

Anything that is beautiful catches attention,and there is nothing more beautiful than a pretty woman!!! So the people have nothing better to use to advertise their product!!

Simple fact is it works. Humans are wired for sex and advertising with that in mind has proved successful.

Well, an important rule of business is that if people want it, companies cater to it, and if advertisers do it, then it's because it works.

So, the fact that lots of advertisements for non-cosmetic products have sexy women in them is because somewhere out there, focus groups full of men are rife with cries of "Durr, me like titties!" as they watch the latest Samsung advertisements. This is positive reinforcement- if you associate a positive image with a product, people will feel happy or amused when they think about the commercial, and then they just might buy whatever is being sold.

Trust me, if advertisers could get away with showing hardcore sex in a cell phone commercial, they would. Blame the consumer. We're setting new lows all the time.

Have you seen commercials with the "what do you keep in your bra" girls? I love it. Real women (even ones with cell phones in their cleavage) exist! I, personally couldn't keep a pancake in my bra, but diversity makes the world go round! If I was this scrawny and had huge-mongous boobs, I'd fall over.

Sadly, I know all too well, being in advertising, that sex sells. And if a nerdy little twerp thinks he's going to end up with babe #1 for buying a certain type of cell-phone, he'll do it without even thinking, wait, I don't even speak German.
