Droped Digital Camera?

I droped my digital camera, and know it doesn't work (obiviulsly) It turns on it just wont focus. you can still see colors and light and dark, its just extremly blury. If you try to zoom in, it will a little then it will automatically turn itself off. Can i fix this? How? How much would it cost? It's a Samsung S850 8.1 mega pixles 5x optical zoom and ASR technology. any and all help would be appreicated. Thanks!

Sorry to hear about your camera. This does seem to happen.

The best thing now is to find a local camera repair technician who can look at your camera. From your description, it sounds like something has happened in the lens. It could be something as simple as a break in the power lead out to the lens focusing system. Who knows yet?

Be prepared to hear that the price for repair could be well over $ 100. Many of these cameras have reached the point where it seems easier to replace than repair. Sorry about that. It seems to be a facet of American Society now.
