Does anybody know where I can find Samsung G600 Firmware?

My video camera only records for 2 or 9 seconds randomly & i took my phone to the O2 shop and the guy said to download firmware but like :( i can't find any so if you help me then that would be mint x

It's odd that the O2 guy suggested that you get a firmware update, since that usually would violate the terms of service, but maybe they're really progressive... :)

Before you go about doing that however, there are a couple things to check:

- In the Camcorder, look for the "Recording Mode" tab, and make sure that it's set to "For full memory" instead of "Limit for MMS" - I think the default is Limit for MMS which only shoots about 10 seconds of video. On the other mode, it will keep recording until you run out of space.

- The other thing I would recommend: If you have a MicroSD memory card, be sure that the default storage is set to save to memory card instead of the phone's memory which doesn't hold much. (Most G600s include a memory card in the box)

If you really do want to flash your firmware, search the internet for G600XEGL1 which I found to be the most versatile of the firmwares. People love to customize this phone and there are a lot of fun things you can do with it. You shouldn't have any trouble finding information about how to go about flashing it if you look online... Oh, except you need a special dedicated flashing cable... I bet the O2 guy mention that you'd need one of those right? :) You'd need to order one of those from eBay if you wanted to flash the device's firmware on your own... Not hard to do mind you, but it's not as easy as just connecting to your PC and waving a magic wand... :)

I dont think a new firmware update for your phone is avaliable YET, but if i'm wrong than you should go to a Samsung service store and they will install the new firmware on your phone!
