Okay my daughter dropped her digital camera and now can't switch modes button still there?

the button is still there but when you go to slide it doesn't stay in one spot...it is a sanyo vpc-t700...any suggestions?

unfortunately most digital cameras are not cost effective to fix, so unless you can make a simple fix yourself, they are rarely worth having someone else fix it unless you bought an extended warrenttee that covers accidental damage

I had the same problem... you have to get a new one cuz you gotta spend more to get it fixed.

Unfortunately, cameras are not designed to be dropped. Additionally, it may not be worth spending money on to repair since prices are constantly going down. If the camera still works in the mode that it's stuck in, just use it like that. Otherwise, if it's toast, you could try taking it apart and seeing if the switch is simply out of alignment.
