Sanyo digital camera problems.?

i just got a new digital camera..it works fine, but when i go to put the pictures on the computer, it won't work. there's no software to download or anything..is there a way i can access it through "my computer" or anything?

turn off computer
hook up camera
turn camera on
put in review mode
start computer
it will read new hardware
wait a few minutes
and a screen will come up
choose camera and scanner option
pictures will go into my pictures in documents
