Digital Camera Help Please!?!?

I have a Really nice Sanyo Digital Camera but the Zoom is stuck down (The part that moves outward when turned on) and the LCD screen shows a really blurry image.
HOW CAN I FIX THIS?
IS IT A SERIOUS PROBLEM?

The camera hospital if it is out of warranty .. otherwise contact Sanyo and send it back to them
