Advice on buying a digital camera?

I've got 拢150 to spend but no idea what model to buy. Any suggestions? I want a good zoom, a viewfinder and something that's quite slim/compact.

So that's about 200 US dollars. Most ultracompact/compact cameras do not have a viewfinder except for canon so you might want to start there. As for good zoom, how much is a good zoom for you? Most compacts at this price has a maximum zoom of 3X to 4X (optical).

Ok, it turns out that the highly rated ultracompact sony cybershot W55 has a viewfinder also and it's in your price range.
