What is the best digital camera at the moment for under or around 拢300?

what is the standard of mega pixel at current, must be slim enough to fit in back pocket of trouser, jeans etc

If you can stretch to 拢350 go for the Canon EOS 350D digital SLR with 18-55mm lens. Available from Amazon.
If not the Canon PowerShot S3 (about 拢250) or the Fuji FinePix S9600 - has 9.0MP and 10.7x optical zoom. Sells for about 拢230. I think this has a hot-shoe and the Fuji's have an amazing macro facility.

try looking on amazon,they have a wide range of cameras, also they compare prices with other shops and customers do reviews on it, so you know you are buying the correct camera, good luck.x

I bought the Sony Cyber-Shot DSC T50s back in the summer and it is brilliant. Also has video and zillions of pixels! I paid 拢285 from currys and it came with a case etc. Very small and will fit in your pocket, you really cant go wrong with it.
