i'd like it to have MOST of these features:
~records sound on movies
~can turn flash off
~slim camera. not a fat chunky one.
~big screen
~5 to 8 mega pixles.
~below $400.00 (Canadian, approximately $340.60 american)
~can zoom in alot on pictures
~when you zoom it doesnt have a thing that comes out.
~ not a kodak!! i hate thoes cameras.
if you know of a camera, please answer!!! pictures would be awesome, please! ~has image stabilization so theres no blurryness!!!!! Spend a bit more and get a Canon 800 SD is. OK, let's take the points in turn...
Most digital cameras can capture sound in their movie feature... but use a low-quality internal microphone which also picks up all the background noise.
Pretty much all of them will let you disable the flash
The smaller cameras tend to have less features...
The "big screen will ruin your battery life.
5 to 8, not a problem, plenty in that range these days
To zoom "a lot", you need a larger lens, which means a larger body, which rules out most of the slimlines. The great majority of slim cameras have a 3 or 4 times optical zoom... there's no room to move the lend any further than that. Beyond that, they go to digital zoom, which lowers the effective resolution
To get a longer zoom, you need a longer lens... that's basic optics. Hence, the "thing that comes out"
No Kodak? OK, try Canon, Olympus, Nikon, Sony, HP, Fuji... and be prepared to compromise. Canon Powershot S3 Hmmm, when you say, "when you zoom it doesn't have a thing that comes out"...I suppose you mean the lens of the camera.
Most cameras have a lens that comes out...but there are some that don't. You just have to make sure the camera has 'Optical' zoom
The best models I could find that include all the features you want are...
Fujifilm Finepix Z3, which has 5.1MP...with a non-extending optical zoom lens. It's very slim and stylish, has a large high resolution LCD, records movies with sound, and is available in colours of metallic blue, light pink or silver).
And it performs very well in low light indoor situations, so is perfect for social shots such as parties etc.
Also look at the very slim and stylish...
Sony T10, T30 or T50 which are available in various colours. I would reccomend the canon power shoot cameras. It records movies, but it takes up memory. |
