That can fit easily into a pocket? Thanks in advance.

I recently bought myself a Sony Cybershot DSC-N2 at Best Buy for about $300. In my opinion it was worth the price, and it takes a perfect picture every time. It is easy to use the 3'' touch screen, and is small. I actually carry it around with me most of the time and it isn't too bulky. It is 10.1 MP, so the resolution is outstanding. It has Carl Zeiss Optics, which are very nice lenses. It takes video, as well and I was surprised how easy uploading images were. I hope this helps.

Try the Fuji F31fd? http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/specs/Fu...

Or use the feature search at http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare.... to find the model for you!

Please be aware that some newer very slim digital cameras may NOT have a viewfinder, and some sacrifice has to be made on lens quality to be able to keep it slim. OK, you have a magnificent screen, but try taking a picture of a moving vehicle using the screen, and of course the picture on the screen is NOT VISIBLE AT ALL with the sun behind you.

canon

I suggest the Fujifilm FinePix F30. Has image stabilizer, only 1 second delay between shots, 3X optical zoom, and 6 megapixels. Has manual controls in addition to auto. Battery life is excellent.
Also the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2. 3X optical zoom, 10 megapixels, also 1 second delay between shots.
Check Website dpreview for reviews of these cameras and a great many more,+ prices.
Also suggest the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-N2.

samsung nv10

best quality ever

I have just bought the kodak V803 from Boots - it cost me 拢130 it is advertised in Argos for 拢249. It has an internal rechargable battery, i have taken photos and videos since last saturday and it remains charged up. I really love it and I have found it very easy to use - only has 3x lens but I only take photos of people so that suits me, it has a panaromic picture capacity but i doubt I would ever use it, I would recommend this camera to anyone

I have had great results with my Casio Exilim. Its small enough to fit in a pocket and the quality of the photo's has been good enough to fool a professional photographer who normally doesn't rate anything except Nikon or Canon.

Even though I personally own this ultra compact camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:

1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time - 300 shots per set of rechargeables;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. Has a macro feature to take close-ups [under 6 inches];
4. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
5. It's very small and light;
6. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
7. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
8. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
9. Has tripod mount on bottom of camera;
10. And the price is a mere $119 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com; $99 at amazon.com]

Good luck!

I have just bought a cannon cyber shot and bought on pixel less than the newest for 150 bob, I think it is a brilliant camera and am quite choosy. I had value for money I think.

I would recomend SAMSUNG DIGMAX i6, ti's the best and slim camera to fit in your pocket.try it and you'll recognise the truth beyond others.

I'd recommend the Ricoh Caplio R6 - I just bought one last week - and I love it ! It's a very responsive point and shoot camera and one of the smallest digital cameras around - it's so compact that it easily fits in the palm of your hand, and you won't notice carrying it around in a trouser/shirt pocket or a handbag.

This little cracker measures 99.6(W) x 55.0 (H) x 23.3mm (D) and weighs around 135g. It has an anti-shake system - turn it on and the R6 automatically compensates for camera shake, which is a slight blurring of the image that typically occurs at slow shutter speeds. You don't notice that the camera is actually doing anything different when anti-shake is turned on, just that you can use slower shutter speeds than normal and still take sharp photos.

It has a massive 7x optical zoom lens, which is equivalent to 28-200mm on a 35mm camera;
(Most cameras of this size offer a 3x or at best a 4x optical zoom, but Ricoh have squeezed a 7x zoom wide-angle lens into a body that is only 23.3mm thick at its widest point.

And it's packed with lots of other features too numerous to mention here - things like:

7.0-megapixels
Face Recognition mode;
2.7 inch LCD screen;
file recovery option;
54Mb internal memory;
1cm macro mode;
it has great battery life... the list goes on....

...and it's kinda retro looking which I like

There's quite a few good reviews on the web -

Check it out on YouTube too

Oh... I forgot the best bit - you can get it for 拢165 (RRP is 拢225) - a bargain - and is even less than the 拢179 I paid.

The Leica C-Lux 2, a fantastic slim digital camera, cost about 拢450.

olympus mini digital 4.0 has given me some fab pics

As an experienced and long-term digital camera user/enthusiast, there is only one answer.

Ricoh R.

They are now up to R6 although I have the R4. The R4 can still be picked up for about 拢110.

Seven times optical zoom, interval photos, extreme close-up AND no perceptible shutter lag.

This last feature is enough in itself.

(No connections to camera trade).

The Panasonic Lumix cameras are great. I've used mine in Australia and Sri Lanka taking long distance zoom photos of animals in the wild. The steady hand system gives incredible results

canon is your best choice.
maybe a powershot A95. it's not that light but it's amazing

Nikon S200

Yes - this one; Casio Exilim
