Best low light slim (flat) digital camera?

I'm looking for a nice, practical digital camera that works very well in low light conditions. This is very important to me.

My only other criteria is the camera must be credit card (ie flat) form factor.

Does such a camera exists? I'd like to keep it under $300 if possible.

Most of the pics I'll take will be in bars and clubs. They are for the owners. Tripods are out of the question as most of these pics will be taken impromptu.

Successful low-light (non-flash) photography requires a camera with a fast (f1.4, f1.7) lens and the ability to handle higher ISO settings.

Unfortunately, digicams, especially the one you describe, fail on both requirements. They have slow (f3.5, f6.3) lenses and their tiny sensors are easily overwhelmed at high ISO settings so your images are "noisy" (the digital equivalent to grainy in film). A program like Noise Ninja can help a noisy image up to a point. Just don't plan on making prints larger than 4X6.

Edwin is correct I have yet to see a p&s perform well in the dark
