Is the Nikon f4s pro SLR worth buying? What would you pay for one (just the body, no lenses)?

I have come across one, second-hand 'mint condition', for a very cheap price (less than a low range compact digital) and from the specs it sounds like it would be fine for me, I just want other peoples' opinions of this camera and what would be a reasonable price (please specify currency). Thank you so much : )

You haven't given us the amount that fine camera is offered for... but, go to www.keh.com and compare prices with their used cameras on sale.

That is the one and only place I ever suggest anyone go to for great prices on used cameras and lenses. They're a no-nonsense outfit, prices are always very good and the merchandise is always rated very conservatively. I got two Nikon F5 bodies there... and I feel as though I made out like a bandit!

While the F4 is a great camera - expect to pay about $350+ in good condition - you may want to look into the Nikon F100. It is a pro-caliber 35mm, accepts all the Nikon lenses, and I have seen them under $300. The auto focus and flash systems on this SLR are better than the F4. Good luck. Report It

As long as it's full functional and the price is right, GO FOR IT! I bought a Nikon F65 with lens and some extra goodies for $200. It's a fantastic camera. i love Nikon cameras and think that you should try it out.

What was the price?

i have one of those... i miss using it...

question is... why use film? any one of those P&S is going be better than the quality of fim...
