Nikon mount compatabile with DSLR? |
I own a 35MM Nikon FE2. Would the mount which I have a Tokina lens attached to it fit a Nikon digital slr? In Nov I especially bought a camera that's not designed to add lenses to it ..Sony Cybershot. I didn't want to buy everything all over again. Lately I'm getting he urge to buy a DSLR. Almost any lens ever made to fit a Nikon film camera will fit a Nikon DSLR. The thing is, not all of the functions will be preserved, such as autofocus or even TTL metering. Yes, you can use most Nikon mount lenses on the new Nikon DSLRs, but they will be a little different. They will be more telephoto, by a factor of 1.5x. If they are older, manual focus lenses, then of course you won't have the benefit of the auto focus feature you get with newer lenses. You might want to spring for one all-purpose lens, and use the older lenses only as needed. If the Lens is F mount then it will fit any Nikon DSLR. Sigma SD9 and SD10 available in both Canon EF and Nikon F mount so please re-check before buying. Fuji DSLR also use Nikon F mount so the lens will also work. |
