Please name all of the differences between a digital and a 35mm slr camera that you can think of. Best answer will get 10 extra points. Thanks. With digital:
images are digitally captured and stored on a card that you can put in computer to download or take to your phot lab and make prints from. After you download the pictures you can erase the card and use it again.
With film cameras:
images are recorded on exposed roll of film in camera. you then have to take that roll to a lab to have it processed in chemicals. You get pictures and negatives and you can also have the negatives scanned and put on a cd that you can then view on computer or make prints from later at your lab.
To take more pictures you have to buy another roll of film and pay again for processing plus you have to figure out how to store all the negatives and prints.
If you are not making prints larger than 8x10 there is little difference in quality depending on the type of film you use in a film camera.
I used film for over 25 years and now I am all digital and am glad I made the switch. I can go take pictures and see the results immediately and if I don't like it I can erase it and take another shot right then and there.
I do suggest you store your favorite images from a digital camera on a cd in the event your computer crashes. A digital SLR uses an electronic sensor to capture the image.
A film SLR uses chemicals on a filmstrip to capture the image.
After that, they are identical.
