TD Waterhouse/Amway Arena: cameras allowed at concerts? |
I'm going to a concert at Orlando's Amway Arena (formerly TD Waterhouse) and I'd really like to take my camera, but I don't want to deal with any hassles about it. Has anyone recently attended a concert there and brought a camera in without trouble? I'm talking about regular cameras, actually a digital SLR, not cell phone cameras. I'm really looking for firsthand experiences. I know the tickets can say "No cameras" or the arena can tell me one way or the other, but I've been to plenty of "no cameras allowed" events and had half the audience clicking away, flashes blazing, with no interference from the people in charge. So if anyone has actually BEEN to a concert at the Amway recently, I'd appreciate hearing your experiences. What does it say on your tickets? Some events and artists allow photographs/cameras most don't as they find it as distraction. If you do not have your tickets yet, call TD Waterhouse directly and they will be able to tell you if the event is allowing cameras or not. It actually depends on the venue. Many of them will allow you to bring in a camera but sometimes there will be an announcement that no flash photography is allowed. i would follow whatever is says on your ticket. u dont want to get to the door and have to turn around and take you camera back to your car...bc they will make you do something with it...im sure you dont want to leave it with them. Hide it. Get a small tampon box and put a compact digital camera in it. No well respected security person would open the box. They will look in your purse but won't dare open the box, especially if it is a guy. |
