we're talking digital cameras not SLR's..please tell me.. I like nikon better
I think better quality No doubt Nikon go for casio more reliability They are both fine cameras and both use the standard SD memory cards. Hold both in your hands and see which fits you and your shooting style the best.
Get one with at least a 7mp sensor, 3x or better Optical zoom and one that uses Li-Ion rechargeable battery. Nikon If you want a camera whose qualities are only looks good, get a Casio. If you want a camera that looks good and takes great photos, get a Nikon. For a reliable answer you'd have to be a little more specific about what you want, at least price range.
Do you want ultra-compact or mega-zoom cameras? You can get a digital SLR for about the price of a good mega-zoom compact digital (think D40/D50).
In ultra-compact range, I would say Casio. Nikon is concentrating its attention to the low-end, middle digital SLR market right now and there's not much innovation in this segment, one can say they've actually fallen behind on features.
In the megazoom range, I would say Nikon, mostly because I don't think Casio has megazoom models (not that I know if anyway) and even if they did, I would rather trust Nikon's optics because for an ultra-compact, the lenses don't matter much but with a zoom (think 8x to 12x) the optic system makes almost the same difference as it does for a SLR (also an image stabilization is in order). In this range I would think Nikon or Panasonic. take nikon it is the best Even though I personally own this camera, I would still like to highly recommend the purchase of a Nikon Coolpix L10 for the following reasons:
1. Besides taking well-exposed hi-quality 5 megapixel pictures, it uses a standard set of rechargeable double AA batteries which last a very long time;
2. Has a 3x optical zoom;
3. The flash setting for "red-eye" correction is on the navigator wheel and not within a submenu;
4. It's very small and light;
5. Uses inexpensive SD memory cards;
6. The digital video feature takes wonderful "sound" videos which are noise free. It records the piano very well with it's built-in microphone;
7. It comes with a USB 2.0 transfer cable which you connect to your USB computer port;
8. And the price is a mere $120 [sold at Samy's Camera - www.samys.com, and Staples.com.]
Good luck! nikon,nikon,nikon |
