How do i take film out of my camera?

i feel like this is such a stupid question..

but i'm in begining photo and i have nooo idea how to use 35mm SLR cameras, i'm so use to digital SLRs.. but ya, it's a pentax .. K1000? i don't really know.. but i just finished a roll of film and i don't know how to rewind it and take it out.. i know you have to roll it back up and hit a film release button and stuff and lift up a knob to open the back.. but i'm so lost...

help please and thank you

Thank you! ya turns out my film release button was broken so i had to hold it down as i rewound it.

First, hit the button on the bottom. It's the release that allows the film to be rewound. Next, take the handle out of the winder (it should just flip up). Then just turn in the direction the arrow is pointing. You should be able to feel when the film is completely rewound. Last, pull up on the winder to open the back.

Try typing "pentax k1000 manual" into google

I found a site with the users manual online. Look here:
