Is acer AMD Athlon 64 X2 processor, 1GB RAM computer suitable for professional style photo editing?

Its good, but I would put an extra 2GB RAM in it. It will make your system run like a Ferrari and you will never notice it to be slow while you are working with photos or videos.

Yes it is, but remember Vista is a memory hog, all windows operating systems are, so if you want to run Vista triple the amount of ram you already have.

That should suit you hust fine but what version of windows are you running? If you aare going to use Vista I syggest you get at least 2Gb to 3Gb Ram. I believe Vista needs 1GB just to run.
