I am using a Nikon D70 SLR digital camera and I am trying to view my pictures in the Photoshop CS file browser as thumbnails
but all I see is the same Photoshop icon. The files will open normally but I cannot see what they are. Is there any way I can view .NEF files as thumbnials in the Photoshop file browser? .NEF is a specific format for your camera (like PSD is for Photoshop). You are going to have to convert it into a jpeg or a gif to view it in photoshop. I don't know how to do this the easy wya.. but thi is the hard way.
Open up the .NEF image in the image editor your camera came with. Then use the square marquee and select the entire image. W=Once you have copied it open up photoshop and select "NEW" from the "FILE" tool. Photoshop will automaticly set the dimensions that corrispond with the image so you dont have to adjust anything... unless you want to. Then paste it onto the canvas. You can either choose to save it as a JPEG or a PSD... which ever format you desire. I suggest working with a transperant canvas. Because with the white one i get confused because sometimes i think its just a layer with white paint on it. |
