Hmmm... whats the best digital camera with a high ISO/ takes great night shots? |
I can't afford an SLR. Sorry, not compact camera will handle high ISO levels very well. I would recommond the Canon A640 or the A620 if you want a camera that will give you decent pictures. But you will have to hold your hand still so you help your picture and not hurt it. I use the A530 and it works like a charm when I go to Disneyland. Of course, I wanted slim so I got the Canon SD700IS for my pocket size camera. Both are really great cameras but both are outdated, I would get the SD800IS if you want a slim pocket camera or the A640 or A620 if you want a camera that will handle ISO a little better. Sony has been making 1000 ISO cameras lately Look into the W30, W50, W70 series. I do not know from personal experience, but many users here have recommended the Fujifilm Finepix F30 for low light performance. Read this review: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/fujifilm... and be sure to note the there are 16 pages to the whole review plus some sample images. They have a few ISO 800 samples worth looking at. I have an HP Photosmart M425.. I took a picture in the pitch black... and the picture turned out perfectly! it auto adjusts to the lighting.. all of my pictures have cme out perfect!! The printer is awesome with it too.. my parents bought it for me.. so it couldn't have costed alot.. they don't go crazy with prices.. hope this helps.. I am not pro and didn't want to spend the money on a D-SLR. After researching all the latest Advanced Digital cams, I found the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ50. It is 10MP. 12x opt zoom. up to ISO 1600. Night shots are great. You can slow the shutter as much as you want, for the most part. Of course a tripod is a necessity for low light/night shots. You can find it online for about $500. Look and you'll find it. I love mine. Contact me for further info. Look at the Kodak Z650. I used it recently at WDW. It took some good pics. But if you plan on fireworks, USE A TRIPOD! No other way to get sharp pics at night. |
