Here's what I need:
At least 4MP, but around 8MP or higher would be better.
Optical zoom of at least 2x, but again, around 4x or higher would be better.
Digital zoom does not matter.
Video capability.
Screen size does not matter, so long as the image is easily viewable.
Does not need to be SLR, but would be nice.
Built in memory does not matter so long as it has an SD slot.
MOST IMPORTANTLY, it needs to be durable. I don't want something that will die in 6 months.
The price range could go a little over $75, but not too far.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! To all those saying there are no cameras with those specs for that price range, look on newegg.com. There are plenty on there like what I described. I am just asking for opinions on what the BEST cameras are in that price range. Not if they exist or not. for that price
and all that you want
there is none Well to get something you will enjoy, save your pennies and look at cameras around $125.
That said, take a stroll through your neighborhood Wal-mart and see what they have on sale. You know what you want, so most the problems people have you have solved. You want durability, at least 4 megapixels, 8 would be fine all for $75-. Lots of luck. Apparently you don't price cameras very much. Oh, I forgot you mentioned it does not need to be a slr.
I can't recommend any unless it's the Fuji A500 gotten on Amazon.com for about $90-. You will have to do more research as to what you really want and think of spending more than $100-
Go back 1 or 2 days on this Website and see what some of the people recommend with different prices. Actually, there are exactly three cameras that (barely) match your (absolutely minimum) specifications, at Newegg... I'd hardly say that this qualifies as 鈥減lenty of cameras there鈥? And if you must know, I think that, for what is worth, the Fujifilm A360 seems to be roughly the best of them... all.
Seriously now, I completely agree with what's been said so far: 75$ is WAY too low a price to pay for the kind of camera that you apparently want; and the fact that suggest, even as as a possibility, that a DSLR (no less) could ever be found for that price, pretty much indicates that you're not really aware of that.
So, if you're set on spending 75$ or less, absolutely, go for that Fuji in Newegg... but don't expect it to even come close of being a good camera, just because it's ever so slightly better than the other two. The best in three bad cameras is still a bad camera.
If you really want a somewhat decent camera, try saving a bit more... let's say, around 150$. |
