A digital SLR that can produce pictures with the same feel as 35mm? |
Does anyone know of a digital SLR that can produce pictures that have the same feel as a 35mm camera? depends what you are willing to spend. I have a Fuji s3 pro that is awesome...but i paid big $$ for the camera lenses and extras. Well worth it. Crisp and clear pics....I still love my cannon 35mm film camera, but the digital is a dream come true. Fuji finepix 5500 is another great digital.....small but powerful. I've used it to do weddings before! Good luck My Nikon does ok, although the Canon is supposed to be better The new Sony may have the edge. I love my Canon. I loved my Sony before it broke. And I know what you're talking about when you say some digital images from some cameras look flat. I think that it's all based on who's operating it. Some cameras are more sensitive than others and a little bit of light hitting the sensor the wrong way can ruin the whole image, and sometimes you don't notice it until it's too late. Before I really knew how to use my camera, my images came out a bit flat too. The digital images are flat becasue Digital Cannot reproduce quite in the same tonal (dynamic) range as traditional film. Especially in extreme light or contrast situations.. The resolution of larger film such as medium or large format film is nearly impossble to replicate digitally from what I have seen and studied.. That's why many portrait photgraphers that know what they are doing will always use film for all shots intended to be larger than a 4x6.. My off the cuff response is Canon, their lens just rock. To see reviews and possible prints go to http://www.dpreview.com. Good luck. I love Minotas too. Sony's new SLR takes Minolta lens by the way. enquiring mind is way off. Most of your higher end Canons and Nikons, I know the D-1 series, D-2 series and my D-70 will, will give you the same tonal qualities as film. If you know how to shoot and understand light and how to capture it people will be hard pressed to tell a digital shot from film these days. The days of flat crappy looking digtal shots are long gone, well in the hands of a pro they are. I always developed and printed my 35mm film. Mostly used Nikon F to F3 cameras and lenses. It gave me great control over the image. Still use them occasionally just for the hell of it to look a little eccentric. |
