What is the best point and shoot digital camera?

Already have a digital SLR, but want an inexpensive point and shoot to replace an old Fuji FinePix.

What brand is your digital SLR? It might make sense to see if they have a P&S line as well, so you might not have to learn 2 completely different sets of controls.

I know that Canon's Powershots have similar controls and options to their DSLRs. I owned a couple of Canon SLRs, so when i wanted a P&S to keep in the car, I got a Canon as well, and many of the controls were familiar. Also, it used the same memory cards as my DSLRs, so I could freely interchange them, and only needed one card reader.

I have a Sony Cyber Shot Digital Camera and I love it. Easy to use and navigate. Not too complicated to work so you don't have to read the whole manual before even looking at it.

Kodak z650 is hands down the best camera with 10x optical zoom for the price, less than $300.

I have an Olympus 710. It is very thin. We love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Canon S3 IS, Canon IXUS IS , Olympus 8080, Nikon 8800.

However, the best seldom translates to inexpensive.

I've got a Sony cyber shot and I love it. Its not complicated and t even does viedos .You can even change the color and things. Like most it has a zoom in and out.
