I have my Olympus slr camera OM1 WHAT IS it worth. Is it obsolete or how is it comparing to digital ones.?OM1, one of the best cameras Olympus ever made. It is obsolete, when compared to the newer SLR's and Digital cameras, but I would hold onto it. (you can use the newer batteries, but you will need to go to a good camera shop to find the ones you need).
I have been looking at these on e-Bay (want to get one as a back up for the one that I have), and they run about $100 with a lens and flash. Many people want to "upgrade" and these go by the wayside.
You can not compare film and digital all that easily, but film is a good option if you want to make a large print. 35mm has far better resolution than the newer 12MP at 8x12, assuming that you got the shot right when you took the photo.
Digital is the wave of the future, and those of us using film will slowly be forced to switch, or pay an arm and a leg for film. Its a great camera if you can find the right batiers for it it takes an old mercery type . with out the mercery battiers The light meter will not work right. You can not compare digital and film cameras there like apples and oranges. Sorry about my bad spelling lol. I have one of these cameras my self and i use a hand held light meter with it. |
