Where can I find a face recognition digital camera for cheap? |
I'm looking for a digital camera that has face recognition. I onced used my dad's girlfriends SLR camera and I fell in love with the face recognition feature but unfortunately I don't have $600+ to spend on a camera. It's not so hard to aim at the face (which is more reliable than letting the camera find it for you), press the shutter button halfway to lock the focus, then move the camera to recompose your picture and shoot. The face will be locked in focus and the exposure will be correct for the face. You can do this with ANY point and shoot camera as that's how they are set up. (AE-Lock and AF-Lock with the shutter release button) After you get the hang of it, you can do this just as quickly as any automatic system. I have face detection on my pocket camera, but I keep it turned off. It can and does make mistakes and I generally am able to identify the faces in my shots without any help from the camera. What if you are taking a picture of something that doesn't have any faces in it? The camera will still try to find a face and lock the focus and exposure on the brightest item in the frame. Amazon.com has cheap stuff and right now they have free shipping. or ebay Check Radio Shack in that price range try wal mart budget is a bit tight for a face detection camera Powershot SD1000 Digital Camera - 7.1MP, 3X Optical Zoom, 2.5" LCD - Black |
