The have listings from several vendors with their prices. The lowest prices might not be the best because they tend to charge more on the warranty and the accessories. The one vendor I found has the best overall price is,

Good luck. This site usually has some cameras of both types (dslr and point and shoot) as well as down the left column links to some of the better camera outlets that usually have good sales going on.

The main issue for any camera is the mega pixels. Whatever type you choose to go with (sdlr or point and shoot) you want to get the most mega pixels you can afford.
I personally love my Olympus evolt e500, but it is not as cheap as the one you mention. (on eBay with 2 or 3 lens you can usually get one for around $500... examples of the picture quality of this can be seen at http://www.silvaspoon.net Another site you could try is http://www.bhphotovideo.com
When buying a digital SLR remember that lenses are probably the most important thing. Megapixel ratings higher than 6MP are only really usefull if you want to print photos at A3 size or larger. |
