Are sony digital slr cameras good? |
saw a 7.2 mega pixel sony slr camera.nice looking but im not sure are they good enough for professional pictures? Most Sony cameras are pretty good but they do make the occasional p.o.s. If you like a lot of zoom, consider Sony Cybershot DSC-H2. As was previously said, the 7.2 Mpix camera you were looking at was not a DSLR. The only DSLR that sony currently produces is the A100. Sony purchased Minolta a year or so ago, and their team of engineers and designers for this product as well as any near term future upgrades is from Minolta. Minolta produced some fine DSLRs which had unique features (such as image stabilization) and the terrific minolta interface. Compared to its competetiors, no. Nikon and Canon will blow it away, or at least for the moment that is. Sony supposively is coming out with new models soon. But At the moment their SLRs have a few bugs to work out. I would not recommond a Sony SLR just yet. Stick with Pentax, Nikon, or Canon. The Sony slr platform is weaker then those other platforms. Nikon is the top of the heap in many eyes, but I wouldn't discount Pentax's K10D. It is a step in the right direction, and has some great features. |
