We are looking for a 10.5 megapixal digital camera that will be compatible with SLR minolta lens - 30x80 and 80x200. I have heard that there is a special adapter that will allow us to use these len's. Have looked all over the net and can't seem to find much on the subject - can anyone help? thank you! Sony bought all the photo assets of Konica Minolta. u can go to the website of the lens I agree with Antoine. Your lenses will probably fit, but the camera is not a "leader" in image quality. Check here and click on the review and opwner opinions. I definitely agree with the other posters. You didn't elaborate on the lenses but if they are not high dollar pro glass I'd wouldn't base my decision on going to a high end dslr based on a couple of older lenses. Also, even if the lenses fit they may not fully function and/or support the full capabilities of the new camera body (for exampe they may not support the camera's exposure metering system). I've read good things about the Sony alpha and I like that it has image stabilization built into the body but I'd do a serious comparison to both Canon and Nikon. |
