What is the best digital SLR camera at the best price?

You can try the Cannon Rebel, which in my opinion has the best quality/price ratio

Depends which lenses you already own. If you already have a collection of Nikon lenses, as I do, the D70s is probably the best balance of features and price. The new D200 looks pretty nice too for not a whole lot more money. I haven't used the D50 but it appears to be aimed at the snapshot market.


The Canon digital Rebel is also a nice camera for the money. You might also look at the Sigma SD-10 with it's Foveon sensor. The results I have seen with that technology look pretty good.

Canon 20D is worth the money. I bought one last summer for $1,500 but it's come down a couple of hundred since then.

I particularly like the 5-frame-per-second rapid-fire feature as well as the 8.2mp resolution and lens interchange options.
