Which is the best digital slr camera under $400?

I use BH Photo Video (http://www.bhphotovideo.com as the bible for what's available. The cheapest DSLR that they have is the Pentax for $459 (which is actually out of stock). The cheapest in stock is the Nikon D50 for $509.95.

The Sony S90 is NOT a SLR camera. SLR camera means one with interchangable lenses.

Since SLR cameras are so expensive, the best one for under $400 would be one that you stole from somebody.

You will not find a new SLR under $400, but look for some cheaper model and see if they have it on eBay. Buy from a reputable seller with hgh rating and you should be ok.
