Which digital slr camera is the best in picture quality under $25,000? |
Which digital slr camera is the best in picture quality under $25,000? Hmm, perhaps the Hasselblad H2D (22 megapixels). Yes, it's medium format, but it's also SLR. $25K gives you a LOT of room to play!! Hassleblad has a "medium format" digital cam for about $14,000 that does excellent work, but you can get almost the same quality with the Canon Mark II for about $8,500. Nikon also has a new digital SLR out, but I've not been overly impressed with the Nikons ever since Mitsubishi bought them out. If you have a pre-existing SLR sytem I would suggest purchasing a digital SLR in the same family so you have lens compatibility. If you have $25K to blow and do not have a pre-existing system, I say buy the Canon, the 70-200 IS 2.0 lens, the 500mm lens, and the 28-105 for general purpose shooting. Your lenses are really going to matter just as much (if not more) than the actual camera! Cannon I would go with Nikon D2Xs for dynamic shoots, Canon EOS-1Ds Mark II for studio work. Kodak, hands down! I think Hubble telescope will be on ebay for less than $25,000 in the next couple of years, maybe you should wait? for 25000 id get a really nice medium format with a nice digi back, like a hasselblad 503 or a mamiya rz67, or just get a 1d mark 2 or 1ds mark 2 with some nice lenses My first instinct is to recommend the Hassleblad H2 but when you add the cost of the lenses $25,000 will not get you too many choices. |
