Im thinking of buying an slr digital camera? |
can you tell me the best brand etc.? Every photographer has their preferences when it comes to brands. I like to recommend Canon, Nikon, and Fuji. Both Canon and Nikon have several levels of camera bodies to choose from, I would suggest getting one of their entry level or semi pro bodies that can run from $700-$2000 . Fuji has a camera body they call the S5 that sells for around $1800. It is a wonderful camera and fuji uses the same lens mount as Nikon so if you invest in a wide selection of lenses they will be interchangeable between the two camera brands. Well if price isn't an issue, why not go with a Nikon D3 or a Canon 1D MKIII? In fact, why limit yourself to a DSLR? Get a Mamiya, Pentax, or Bronica medium format package with a PhaseOne digital back. Shoot, why not just settle for a brand new Hasselblad? I think you should cover all your bases and buy one of each... just in case, you know? |
