Which pentax digital slr camera should i choose? which is the best!?

"The best" in what context?

The Pentax K20D is the most recent and most expensive of Pentax's semi-pro lineup if that's what you're asking but if that's what you're asking you're probably not ready for one.

What? is right. If you cannot afford the K20D, take a look at the K10D .. both cameras use the state of the art Li-ion batteries ... A necessary feature IMHO when powering a DSLR.

I currently use a K10D with an older entry level *ist DS as my second digital body.

The new Pentax K200D entry level model is an excellent camera with plenty of automated scene features to help you get started in DSLR photography.

It also has more advanced modes where you can take more control as you learn more.

The pro style K10/20ds are set more for the experienced photographer, but still have some excellent automated features.

All the buttons and switches may seem more intimidating but once you become familiar with them they are very handy.

The battery issue has never been a real problem, a couple of good sets of NiMh batteries do a good job in the entry level model and seem to last longer than the Lithium-ion batteries in the K10D.

I would suggest starting with K200d, but both are excellent cameras offering good value for money performance.

There used to be a wide range of second hand lenses at ridiculously low prices, but now with th esuccess of the cameras the prices have increased.

Everyone is correct so for

K20D is the New kingpin for Pentax
K10D is the previous one

K200D is the new entry level
K100D is the previous one.

K10D's are excelent cameras if you can find one.

why pentax.
