I bought a Sony - Alpha 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera, do you think it was a good idea?

I am a begginer into this, and i bought this one, what do you think?

You don't say what model Sony alpha you bought, they make an increasing range of models.

This is a good thing as you will have a good upgrade path for the lenses and accessories you acquire for the Sony system.

DSLRs in the entry level and consumer end of the DSLR market are designed to be easy to use with fully automatic options. They also have operating modes where you can exercise more control as your knowledge and experience grow.

There are good lenses available for the Sony system, including some Carl Zeiss designed marvels

IMO you made a good choice. Sony has their version of image stabilization in the camera body. You can use every Minolta Maxxum AF lens made since 1985 and have the benefit of image stabilization with them.

If you are interested, you'll find a nice selection of Maxxum AF lenses on eBay and at keh.com or bhphotovideo.com or adorama.com.

very good choice! ur a beginner its a good camera! if u get serious, its still a good camera! thats a very nice camera,, takecare of it,, letter on u can get Zesis lenses,, Sony is Awesome
