With a digital slr camera, can you use a flash that you used on a 35mm slr camera? |
I have a Olympus E500 dslr but I am not sure if you use just a standard flash? old flashes used a different trigger voltage which may affect the circuitry on a digital camera. you have to check your flash model and see what the output is. Some you can, some you cant. The Voltage can sometimes harm a digital camera. This site may be helpful if you can find the flash you have. Check the trigger voltage of the flash. It was usually much higher on the older 35mm film cameras so it could "fry" the electronics of your digital camera. It's best to use a flash made for digital cameras. |
