I was thinking of buying a Nikon D80 off ebay and i was wondering if an American nikon would work in australia |
This is the sort of camera thing i was looking at: I have a friend from Australia who bought his D80 and his D300 in the USA and they seem to work fine. If it's used , outside the warranty period and he packs it well.. fine. It will work fine but if the proce is over the threshold it may get picked up by customs and you will have to pay gst on it but i am not sure what the proce threshold is. you will also need an australian charger, so i think it would be better and easier to just get one in australia The focusing ring from the Australian cameras turn in the opposite direction then one from the USA. ; ) It'll work fine. |
