Camera purchase?

we are currently looking to purchase a new camera. I really like the SLR cameras but we are open to any kind... long battery life, picture quality and versatility are important features... we would also like the camera to have video capability but that is not high on our list of features. We own a landscaping business so need clear crisp photos...

most slr's dont have video. it looks like you'd get better use from a point and shoot that has some of the features of a slr. i just bought a canon powershot s5. it's just like my slr. and it records. but its about the price of a low end slr.

SLR'S...Have A Long Battery Life....All Have Lithium Batteries And Chargers That Comes With Them These Days...Allthought They Are Great They Dont Have Video Capabilities.
Panasonic Lumix FZ50 Has Manual Controls....35mm-420mm Lens....So Is Like The Ultra Zoom Nearly SLR Camera...You Can Add Extras Onto The Lens For More Zoom Etc And Is Has A Lovely Leica Lens And Has A Lithium Battery And Charger.....And Has Video.
If You Are Still Interested In An SLR....Canon Do A Fantastic Job Also Panasonic Make An DMC-L10....

But I Personally Recommend Panasonic...I Have One And Also Use To Seel Cameras...And Never Got A complaint

a P&S camera is now where near the quality of a SLR type camera regardless of which type it is film or digtial

canon sd900. it has the video thing. the battery lasts a really long time and it has 10mp. it cost me like $300.
