Camera help, what does slr mean?

What does it mean and in this site does it come with the lenses

When you look through the viewfinder, you are seeing what the image will look like when you expose the film. The viewfinder is where you compose the images and use the light meter to pick the correct exposure.

It is a more professional style camera, with interchangeable lenses, giving high quality pictures. When the lens if off, you can see a mirror.

The product you are looking at on amazon does come with a lens that zooms. 28mm to 80mm. If it says body only, then it does not come with a lens, but if it say "kit", it comes with a lens/lenses

Means Single Lens Reflex.

That means you are looking through the lens when you look thru the viewfinder. There is a mirror that flops out of the way when you press the shutter release. As opposed to a point and shoot camera the viewfinder and the lens are two separate lines of sight.

On an SLR if your thumb is in front of the lens you see it, on a point and shoot you may not see your thumb blocking the lens until you get your pictures back. "I swear the viewfinder was clear!"
