Which digital slr camera i should buy as a beginner? and what is the cost with bill and without bill?

nikon is preferable

Nikon D80 would be your best bet as it works with all Nikon AF lenses.

Get the 18-70 lens as it's a tad faster and has more reach than the kit lens.

And sorry, there's no way of avoiding the bill.

hey buddy, you are just in my condition.. :D. I researched on this a lot, and finally settled on Olympus Evolt E-510,

Reason :-

1. Have best Antidust technology, Nikon doen't have, and the one in Cannon and Sony is not comparable. Olympus is best in this.

2. In camera image stabilisation. Only other DSLR has it is Sony. but sony is worst of all in image sensor. Olympus has got a gr8 image sensor with this gr8 feature. means youo won't have to spend twice of you camera cost on lenses. And if you want the camera with out image stabilasation..forget it, If you are buying a DSLR, you must know its importance

3. Check for the image quality of kit lense. Olympus Zuiko lense are the best kit lenses. Nikon and canon do not provide their high grade lense in the kit. offcourse if you are ok to spend $1000 for a good Nikon and cannon lense, they are better. but if want to use kit lense, Zuiko are best of three.

4. Live view:- not everytime you woould be taking images thru viewfinder.

5 Cheap :- for $ 511 you will get it with two kit lenses.

For me, I found first two points good enough to decide, because DUST & image shake can make images even taken from the best camera look bad.
