I want an SLR camera, Is 6 mp bad for a nikon?!? |
i heared Nikon had the best lenses...but the one in my budget range (D40) is only 6 mega pixels Megapixels don't matter. If you're looking for a beginner DSLR, then I assume you're not going to blow up your images to 3+ feet anyway and won't need those extra 4 that you'll be getting with another company (though there are good albeit more expensive other options out there). If you want to get the D40, you shouldn't have problems with quality (I have it, and haven't had trouble with resolution). For most people 6 MP is just fine. Do you plan to make prints larger than 8x10? If not, then you don't need anything larger than 6 MP. I have made prints even larger and they were great. JD Powers gave the Nikon digital SLR's their highest rating. it is justified, by the quality, optics and ergonomics. I would say go for the D40. It's a fine camera. I would rather stay with the Nikon 6 MP rather than a Cannon with more pixels. I shoot Nikon D50 (6mp) for couple years, I have no problem with 6 mp , but I have problem with dont have enough money for the lens. 6 MB is pretty good for a starter camera. |
