How do you upload a video to YouTube if it too large?

I'm trying to upload a very cool video of a fire breather onto Youtube that I took with my digital camera. It is only one minute long, so i dont quite understand. I get this message. "The video you uploaded was too large. Please shrink it, then upload the smaller version." I guess they mean the dimensions? Thanks in advance. Also, I have a Macbook if it makes any difference.

on your pc click:
start,
all programs,
windows movie maker.
simply drag your video into there and trim it to the length you need it. :)
