How do I reduce the size of my photos at the same time? For example, I want all of my 80 images to be 70%.?

I take pictures with my digital camera, and each picture I take is over 2MB. I want to make it smaller. But doing it one by one is too tiresome. Is there a faster way? I do have Photoshop, but I don't know how to work with it. Thanks!

If you have ANY version of photoshop (even 5.0 if I can remember properly), you can batch them in the program.

Just create an action(Actions palette), start making changes on your images (resize, sharpen, whatever) and stop the recording of the action. Go to your photos folder, and make a copy of it (for backup purposes if you messed up in your action).
Go to File>Automate>Batch
Select the action you just recorded that you want applied to all the images, Put Destination to "Save and Close" and fire away!

Actions are very handy when you want to batch process images, especially loads oh photos. You can also change the file type to the one of your choice using this. Try it out, it's awesome. No need for another software.

I do it manually also, but am not usually doing that amount. I used to use a program called Thumbnailer which would let you do bulk amounts of resizing and converting. Give that a look! Might suit your needs. Link below... However it might not do the % thing that you want, just an actual fixed size for each one so...

This program Infranview might work better. It has batch processing and does well with keeping the image quality after resizing.. http://www.irfanview.com/

I have Photoshop Elements 2. There is a command called batch processing. What is does is take a group of photos, either open or from a folder, and converts them. You canuse it to covert a number of images file format, size and so on.

PS Elements 2 is downloadable from the NET, Canon website. Trick is, you need to have a Canon sofatware already installed on your PC for it to install properly.

go to ur digital camera setting menu before u want to make a shot.
set it to smaller pixel
example: 640 x 1200...
then...u dont need to resize it from ur computer one by one manually.

goodluck!

there are some batch resizers, suggest backing up originals on cd before editing,
