How do I "resize" a jpg photo?

I am having a hard time, dont know much about computers and I need to make some files smaller so I can put them on myspace. They are pictures from my digital camera.

If you are using Windows, Paint is the best way AFAIK. Open Paint and then under Image select Stretch/Skew.
