How do I resize pictures on my computer?

I have pics taken from my digital camera and they are huge! I cannot figure out how to make them smaller so I can send them in an email :( Please help.

Go into your photo editor, edit, resize for email....

YOu can use many programs to do that. Photoshop (CS3) is the best software for editing pictures and has many options for resizing and compressing

The software with your camera should do a resize. But if not, here is freeware to do it.

Just choose the percentage you want to shrink it by, and use that percent for both height and width, and resize.

Perhaps it is a perverse way of doing it, but I always copy pictures to Word for easy resizing it. If the picture is huge, you need to go into Page Set Up on Word to make your page as big as possible. Then when you have re-sized the picture to a more normal size, you go back into Page Set Up and restore the A4 size option and then resize your picture again to fit the A4 page if that is your aim
