Romantic present for 5th Anniversary - ideas please?

Each year since we got married I've alternated between a romantic present one year and a practical one the next.

For instance, this year was a new digital camera, last year was a gift package where I named a star after my beloved. My anniversary isn't until April 07 but I need some 'romantic' gift ideas... Planning ahead as I'm pretty useless!

Doesn't have to be useful, just something to show I care, could be small or large but needs to be special.

Take her to the first place you all met. Relive that time.

what about doing a story of your lives together in pictures?
You could do a slide show on a DVD and set it to music that is special between the two of you.
BTW...wish my husband was as thoughtful as you are!

well if you have kids get away. Me and my husband for our 5th aniversary went to a nice hotel not too expensive of course but it had a jaguzzi room when we used the jaguzzi he had candles all around the tub and turn off the lights. we went to the beach and just spent the whole weekend together Which was really nice bc we got away from the kids a little bit and we got to have privacy and we got to talk and go out to nice dinners and just relax with each other. I loved that very much. So did he. That might be good for you guys. He also paid for my ears to be repeirced and bought me nice pair of earings.

Five Years huh? This is known as over the hump years, in other words if you,ve made it this far you will last forever!! As a married woman of 20 yrs. myself I would love for my man to take me back to where we met for the first time, add a pair of nice stone earrings (ruby or topaz, emerald) and tell her on your knee that you would marry her all over again, that the ride has been wonderful, and your willing to stay on till the end.

i think just by having you she is already receiving the best gift of all. so any gift would make her happy. but since you still wanna buy a gift, i'd probably want some nice jewelry or a day at a really great spa to get a manicure, pedicure, foot and hand spa, body scrub and wrap, a facial and a whole body massage. you can do it together if you'd like.
