Movie record resolution problem?

I have a digital camera Sony DSC-V1, that can record MPEG movie. The movie recorded is just fine. But the problem is the resolution. My camera only can record movie in resolution either 160 x 120 or 640 x 480. Because 160 x 120 is too small and 640 x 480 is too space consuming on the memory stick (I just can record 10:48 minutes at most in 256 Mb memory stick!! while my friend's 64 (or 128?) Mb memory stick can record up to 20 minutes with 320 x 240 res), I tried to switch the resolution to 320 x 240, but found no option to do that. Is there any solution how to do that?

no, there is just two modes for the movie taking on V1 camera - either 120x160 or 480x640, and there is nothing you can do about it, my advice, just get bigger memory stick on ebay, for example 2gb, they're pretty cheap there and you can record much longer movies with a better quality than your friend does with his 240x320
