What is a card reader? |
i have purchased a HP Photosmart 1315..it has a built in card reader.I assumed it to read SD cards for digital camera, but my card dosent fit through,it has two slots one big andone small, small is too small, big is too big... There are a few different kinds of card readers. Some can read a lot of different cards. I have a card reader that reads: MS PRO, CF, MD, SD, MMC, XD and SM. It's got 4 different slots. The too big one is probably a flash card reader. Card reader is a device that can read or / and write data to memory cards. Fact that your card doesn't fit into your card reader means that a card reader you own don't have support for SD memory cards. To make sure about this, see the packaging of the card reader where it says what types of memory cards it can handle. yes the slot if for a memory card, there are many types of memory cards, read printers manual to find out which once it can read Card Readers are device use to access memory card just like your SD card.... I use a SanDisk Mobile Mate SD+. It plugs right into my computer and it's super convienent to to use. The manual for this product states that the following types of cards are supportesd: it seems that HP Photosmart 1315 has a card reader for CompactFlash Card, SmartMedia Card, Sony PlayStation Memory Card good u poor thing...................... |
